School is about to be back in session, which means a whole new year of frustrations for parents with children with Autism going back into the school system. Enter Awetism Wonderland!
While we are not a school, we do offer an academic program that either complements your existing school education or can be used for your homeschooling.
We utilize the Styer-Fitzgerald Program for Functional Academics curriculum. This curriculum was design by teachers for teachers of special needs students. It is the most comprehensive special education program that enables students to be as independent as possible while getting rid of repetitive busy work. In addition, it allows us to give assessments to determine the student’s baseline and then formulate their academic curriculum to their needs. It also includes IEP goal banks for measurable goals so you can see how your student is growing.
We also offer small group settings that allow children to not be overwhelmed but get social skills infused with their academics. Their academics are in full collaboration with all of their other therapeutic providers so there is a common plan with a shared goal.
We also accept the Family Empowerment Scholarship, formerly known as Gardiner. According to their website, the Family Empowerment Scholarship is different than other state scholarships in that it allows parents to personalize the education of their children with unique abilities by directing money toward a combination of programs and approved providers. These include schools, therapists, specialists, curriculum, technology – even a college savings account.
Contact us using the form below to learn more about the scholarship and to schedule your free baseline assessment testing. We hope to see you soon!
